The highlight of this hike is Chandranahan Lake, a stunning lake sandwiched between two hills. Approximately 4,260 metres (13,980 feet) above sea level. The fact that this walk begins in Junglik hamlet and concludes at the Barua road head is another unique aspect of it.

Buran Pass offers one of the loveliest panoramas available. After the pass, the track is a straight wall that requires sliding for the majority of the distance. This section can sometimes be challenging, and a rope may be needed to descend the ice’s somewhat straight face. About Buran ( The Boundary Separating Kinnaur from Shimla). Untouched Buran Ghati Trek is the less travelled, less revealed trek in the central-hills of the Himalayas. It is adorned with the most exciting river crossings, High snow walls, beautiful forests, endless grasslands, mountain peaks and villages you’ve never dreamt off. Buran Ghati is unquestionably the most amazing and adventures trek. The trek takes you to the tremendous walkway marked in the middle of snow Mountains. Where the walk ends, rappling begins, where rappling ends, discovery begins.

The end point of the trek, Barua village is a historical .The village set amidst the mountains, forests and grasslands and most Deadliest road which will take you to Sangla(The dream destination ).

This untouched trek begins at Janglik, a village situated in the upper region of Shimla District at left bank of Pabber river. The first half of trek is about getting over the Pabbar Valley, exploring the holy Chandernahan Lakes(The Seven glacial ponds), and conquering the Buran Pass at 4580 m. The second half is exploringover the Baspa Valley (The Land of Shiva).The trek ends there and you can go for exploring the Baspa valley or you can go back to your own destination.

DETAILED ITINERARY OF BURAN GHATTI

DAY 1- SHIMLA TO JANGLIKH(2500MTRS)
Distance: 150km from Shimla to Janglik Village (9,400feet)
Time: 6 hours

On arrival at Shimla you will be met by our representative at bus stand and transfer you to Janglikh. Drive through the beautiful valley, en-route Khadapathar or via Narkanda and Rohru.

The journey to Janglikh will take 8-9 hours.
After briefing, camp overnight at Janglikh village.
The day ends with the bonfire, dinner.

DAY 2 – JANGLIKH TO DAYARA THACH
Time: 5 hours
Altitude: 11,100 ft
Distance: 6 km
Trek type: Moderate

Start leisurely.
One can explore the village. The village is pure heritage and full of photographers delight.
After breakfast trek towards Dayara Thach.
The trek winds through the thick forests, beautiful meadows and grassy land ascents.
It’s a moderate trek, takes around 4-5 hours to reach Dayara Thach.
Dinner and night stay at beautiful meadow Dayara Thach.

DAY 3–DAYARA THACH TO LITHAM THACH

Altitude: 11,800 ft
Distance: 5 km

Start your day exploring the Dayara meadows.
This trek promises you thick forest cover, fast gushing streams, meadows and an altitude of 737 feet within 3 hours.
Through the Gunas Pass, snow clad Dhaulandhar range, Silver Birch leads you to the first clear view of Litham.
Cross the Chandranahan stream to reach our Litham campsite. Relax with the best spot on the camp to enjoy the rest of the evening in the laps of nature.
Three sided view of Litham makes it all the more picturesque. Chandranahan Waterfalls on your left followed by Chandranahan Lake and the snow clad mountains.

DAY 4 – CHANDRANAHAN LAKE EXCURSION

Altitude: 14, 000 ft

Chandranahan Lake constitutes of glacier tarn perennial snow flanks from its surrounding mountains.
Take the shepherds trail to reach to top of the waterfall.
Chandranahan Lake take another 1 hours time to reach from the waterfalls.
This lake promises you the view of a nestled bowl like glacial amphitheatre. Enjoy the snow and beautiful stone cairns before descending to Litham.

DAY 5 – LITHAM TO NALABANSH

Time: 6-7 hours
Altitude: 13,400 ft
Distance: 8 km
Trek type: Moderate

A 4 hours trek from Litham Thach to Nalabansh at 13,000 feet.
Pass through the Rupin valley cliffs on the right. While descending the valley, you get the first view of Buran Ghati and gunas waterfall.
A bit more than an hours climb will lead you to Nalabansh.
Relax at the campsite, dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 6 – NALABANSH TO MUNIRANG VIA BURAN GHATI

Time: 8-9 hours
Altitude: via 15,000 ft to 9,000 feet
Distance: 9 km
Trek type: Difficult

With thrilling climb mostly on the snow at 15,000 feet, will be the most adventurous thing you would have ever done.
Two hours descent in the snowline.
Through the flowing stream on the other side is the way to your campsite for overnight stay.
Dinner and night stay at beautiful Munirang.
